Kundalini Yoga combines meditation, mantra, physical exercises and breathing techniques. When all four of these aspects are integrated the individual may experience a sense of inner stillness and connection with the self. When we combine the sound of the gong into a kundalini practice it creates deep relaxation, helps release your thoughts and stimulates the glandular system to a higher level of functioning. It is encouraged that any student of Kundalini yoga becomes familiar with the basics of the practice when the gong is introduced. During our time together we will be focusing on the energy of the Sun and the Summer months. What this means to us as a group and as individuals. The Kriya (movement) we will be doing will be accessible for all levels. If you have never tried a Kundalini practice before this will be the perfect opportunity to experience it in all its fullness. The session will include Kundalini practice combined with the sounds of a Gong and Himalayan Bowls.

Contraindications: Sound Contraindications: not recommended during first trimester of pregnancy, high blood pressure, anti-psychotic medications, bipolar, schizophrenia, pacemakers, metal implants/joints, history of epilepsy, history of stroke. I think that is all!
